New look for in-flight entertainment

Jetstar launches its new inflight entertainment with Sam Mason using an iPad on the first flight.

Jetstar offers iPads on its flights, the first airline in the world to offer tailored technology for the device and revolutionising in-flight entertainment for its passengers. The technology allows viewing of the latest release movies, TV shows and music direct from Hollywood, plus a line-up of the latest generation games, e-magazines and e-books, all with the iPad’s high-resolution screen and sound system.

The new system was launched on sele cted Jetstar flights early last month and will be rolled out across the Australian domestic, trans-Tasman and short-haul international services from Australia and New Zealand in the coming weeks. Passengers flying longer than two hours will be able to hire an iPad.

Jetstar will roll out initially 3000 iPads with plans to increase this number once the devices are placed on Jetstar’s Asia network.
